Terms and conditions plus community guidelines:
Booking and payment terms:
You can secure your space on the course by booking on the website and pay a 20% deposit.
The deposit of 20% is non refundable. A refund or transfer (minus deposit) will be offered if done so more than 60 days prior to the course start date. If the course is cancelled less than 60 days prior to the start there are no refunds. There are no partial refunds for missed sessions, but you will receive a recording for the missed part (please see more below). I reserve the right to cancel the course if I am unable to deliver it. You will receive a full refund if I have to cancel the course.
What to expect from the course, from me and each other:
The course is delivered online through live sessions via zoom. I will record the movement part of the sessions but will turn the recording off during discussion and sharing. This is to respect everyone’s space and voice. If you are unable to make some of the live sessions, please email me hello@anjayoga.co.uk and you will receive the recording afterwards. If you can, endeavour to join the live sessions as the discussion and reflection are an important part of the journey.
This is not a yoga practice course – there is movement during the sessions but this is not about the physical aspect of yoga, the poses or anatomy of poses. This course offers a space to connect with yourself and the movement is gentle and open to everyone. The movement part of the course will consist of somatic practices, yin yoga, restorative yoga and qigong. There will be meditation/stillness and breathing practices and techniques during the course as well.
As part of the course you will also receive 2×30 min one to one consultations which are done via zoom, one before the course starts and one after the course. These give you an opportunity to talk about your aims for the course and take actions forward after the course. This also allows me to personalise the course for the small group of participants.
In addition you will receive pre recorded practices to support your journey. These are approximately 20 minutes long and can be done in your own time during the course between the live sessions.
This is a pilot course which means it is the first time I am running it. The course won’t be perfect (but what is perfect anyway!) and I will see what works and what doesn’t. This is reflected in the price of the course. I welcome constructive feedback during the course and will ask for formal feedback after. If you have any feedback during the course, please email hello@anjayoga.co.uk
I aim to create a safe and nurturing space for the group for sharing, connecting and your individual practice. You are invited to share but this is completely optional as is keeping your camera on. Please be respectful of others and the time we have on the course. I aim to respect your time, and I ask the same from you. As a group, we must ensure that the sessions start and end on time, and that we are providing opportunities for everyone to be seen and heard.
This course is not a form of therapy, counselling or specific mental health support, and I am not a mental health professional. As we dive deeper into ourselves and connect withing, things might come up. If you need mental health support during the course, please let me know and I am happy to signpost you to further resources.
Inclusivity:
This course is offered for those who identify as women. This is because we might discuss aspects that connect with women’s cycles and stages in life. I am committed to providing a welcoming and safe space and invite anyone who experiences marginalisation, due to any aspect of their identity, background or culture, including the disabled community and the LGBTQIA+ community. I recognise this course is not 100% inclusive due to it being aimed at a specific group, but I work mainly with women and I want to create a space that I have an understanding on and can offer my best support.
