Join me for a cosy weekend retreat from the comfort of your home!

I ran my first seasonal online retreat in January 2025 and I loved it so much I decided to share a retreat in each season in 2025!

Home retreat is for you if you:

  • Want to practice in the comfort of your own home
  • Enjoy creating a cosy retreat space for yourself – a bit of hygge
  • Are limited to travelling to or joining an in person retreat
  • Are curious about deepening your practice beyond weekly yoga classes
  • Want to learn more about seasonal living and living in harmony with nature
  • Cosy up and meet like minded people from around the country (and world)

I love all seasons, but it hasn’t always been like that. Since starting to really observe nature and its rhythms, I have learned to value each season for the teachings it offers. For example, many find winter a difficult season, but that is often due to conflict between nature’s teachings and modern lifestyle. If you look at the seasons, winter invites us to hibernate, to rest a bit more and to honour the darkness. In nature, everything has its time to rise and time to descend. Each season is unique with it’s energy and what it offers. Leaning into the wellbeing in each season can allow you to live in harmony with natures cycles.

Your space for the retreat

The beautiful thing about doing this retreat from home is that you can create exactly the kind of enviornment that works for you! I am a bit of a homebody and I love the safety and cosiness of my own space. I find stepping to new spaces especially for an intimate and personal practice like yoga and meditation, quite daunting. It takes me quite a while to get used to the space and be comfortable enough to let go and enjoy the practices.

So I have created a retreat that I would love to go on myself.

When you have booked on your retreat, I will send you some suggestions on how to prepare your space for the retreat with seasonal colours, textures and other things that bring harmony in the season. I suggest a quiet space where you can set yourself for the whole weekend retreat without the need to clear up and start again the next day. This gives you that cosy retreat feel!

About the yoga on these retreats

I’m a senior yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals with over 30 yoga practice years behind me, a decade of teaching and over 600 training hours. I will guide you safely through seasonal practices which are complimentary for your health and wellbeing.

I am passionate about seasonal living and living in harmony with nature, therefore a lot of my teaching is inspired by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The practices during the retreat are all gentle&explorative and include gentle flow yoga, qigong, yin yoga, restorative yoga, meditation, yoga nidra and pranayama practices. I call yoga my support system without which I wouldn’t function. It extends beyond the mat and so much beyond asana (postures).

I’m also sharing a seasonal wellbeing workshop during the retreat which will weave together our practices during the retreat and hopefully invite you to take some practices with you after the weekend.

 

How the online retreats work?

All sessions are delivered live via zoom and include a mix of yoga classes, workshops and space for sharing (always optional) and connection. In the next section you find more information about the retreat programme. Everything on the retreat is truly optional, if you wish to join the sessions to just give yourself time to rest, then I wholeheartedly welcome you to do just that. And you can have your camera on or off during the sessions.

On winter autumn and winter retreats you can choose to receive a retreat gift prior to the retreat for extra £25, which supports your wellbeing weekend. This gift is seasonal and includes a small journal and pen, a seasonal wellbeing tips and journalling prompts sheet, a specially selected herbal tea for each session, a scented candle, aromatherapy roll or handmade relaxation pillow depending on season and availability and a seasonal mini recipe book with suggested foods and meals to cook on this retreat. (Please note, gifts are only posted within the UK due to extra cost and customs issues. If you are joining from outside the UK you will receive the seasonal wellbeing tips and journaling prompts as PDF copies via email). The non-gift option includes the seasonal wellbeing tips, seasonal recipes and journalling prompts sheet as a PDF which will be emailed to you.

The idea is that you have all the tools to make the retreat cosy and comfortable at home.

Retreat programme

My aim is to create a relaxing atmosphere for you to have a lovely time without the need to rush or a day packed full of activity equally ensuring the continued connection during the retreat. Everything during the retreat is truly optional so it is your choice how much or little you choose to take part in.

Friday – Settle

18:30-20:00 Welcome practice

  • Opening circle and easing tension
  • Includes setting intentions, journaling time

Saturday – Explore

08:00-09:30 Gentle morning flow yoga&qigong

  • Setting intention for a mindful breakfast and/or wander outside whether that is the garden or a local park.

11:30-12:30 Lunchtime reflections and meditation

  • Afternoon intention: food, nap, walk

14:30-16:00 Afternoon movement, seasonal workshop, journaling and connection

  • Time for a light dinner, reading a book or resting

18:00-20:00 Evening yin yoga, restorative and yoga nidra

Sunday – Relax

09:00-11:00 Relaxing morning practice and closing circle

  • Setting intentions to take away from the retreat

Price of retreat and what is included

  • £125 for the whole weekend (includes a pdf seasonal wellbeing pack)
  • Special offer for summer 2025 retreats only £95 (or £75 for members of my online community)
  • Non refundable deposit of £30 is payable on booking, final balance is due 30 days prior to the retreat. Please see full terms and conditions.
