Seasonal Camping and Yoga Retreats in Wales
2026 retreats:
15 – 17 May 2026 at Camp Plas, Dolanog
7 – 9 August 2026 at The Forge, Corwen
Bookings open 14/11/2025
Welcome to a retreat that nurtures your soul
Welcome to a retreat with a soul – taking you back to nature and back to basics. Allow yourself to connect with your roots and with mother earth.
During the retreat, you’ll stay at a beautiful site in Mid Wales (details below), with the choice of glamping accommodation or bringing your own tent or campervan.
All of my camping retreats are self-catering, offering something a little different — the freedom to eat what you like, when you like. This is reflected in the retreat price, making these weekends a more affordable option alongside my fully catered retreats. You’ll also receive a small food hamper with snacks and some basic ingredients, and we’ll come together for a shared meal on Saturday (usually a BBQ or pizza night).
I collaborate with wonderful teachers on these retreats and always book the entire site, so it’s just our group there — creating a relaxed and comfortable space for everyone.
This retreat will be raw and beautiful, filled with making memories, gazing at stars, wild swimming, dancing in the wild flower meadows (if you so choose), feeling the earth beneath your feet and connecting with all elements. Come alone or with friends, this will be time to connect and share, to let go of stress and worries and find a real connection – with yourself, with nature and with other like minded people.
Serenity of water – a paddleboard & yoga retreat at Camp Plas, Dolanog
15 – 17 May 2026
As with our summer retreats, this is a self catering retreat, but some base ingredients are included on site (see details below) and on Saturday night we will do a shared BBQ night.
See more information about the location below.
At one with the Elements – a summer yoga retreat at the Forge Corwen
7 – 9 August 2026
Join Mel (Melissa Monks Yoga) and I to Reconnect with the elements — earth, water, fire, air, and spirit — in this weekend Yoga Retreat. Move through seasonal yoga on the mat, relax in the on-site sauna and swimming lake, and enjoy gentle, mindful walks in the local area. In the evenings, gather around the campfire under the summer night sky for reflection and connection. This retreat is designed to help you slow down, recharge, and find balance in nature.
The Forge has a wonderful energy and close connectivity to nature, which is at the heart of our retreats. We have an indoor yoga space with a log burner and an outdoor covered space to practice if the weather is unkind. There is an onsite hillfort, perfect for a seasonal qigong practice or sun salutations.
For this Finn, the big draw to this place is the on site wood heated sauna and swimming lake which is included in your retreat.
As with our summer retreats, this is a self catering retreat, but you will get a food basket included in your retreat (see full details below of what is included) and on Saturday night we will do a shared pizza night where we will provide the bases and tomato sauce and you can bring your toppings of choice to make your pizza.
See more information about the location below.
About the sites
We select sites that have a beautiful connectivity and closeness to nature. This is at the heart of all our retreats.
The Forge, Corwen provides a space for you to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature, by staying in their eco-glamping accommodation. Founded on the principles of sustainability and rewilding, helping others to rekindle a love and appreciation for the natural world is at the heart of everything they do. There is a 4 acre wild flower meadow, iron-age hillfort, wood fired sauna and a small wild swimming lake by the sauna! Each bell tent is heated (log burner) and comes fully equipped with its own separate camp kitchen next to the tent, own private composting loo, sun deck and hammock. There are also warm rain showers on site. Or stay at Bluebell Corner, the beautiful vintage caravan To read more about the site click here
Camp Plas, Dolanog is a place of tranquility hidden away in a valley the heart of Wales near lake Vyrnwy, Camp Plas and is a haven for animal lovers, walkers and those who simply want to get a little closer to nature. Here you can either stay in your own tent at the wildflower meadow by river Vyrnwy, bring your own campervan, stay in one of the on site bell tents or the glamping units Boat Shed or Cuddfan Bach. The site is a sheep farm which cares for its animals and their welfare. The owners, Charlotte and Barney keep rare breed sheep on site, most of them have names and you might find Charlotte cuddling a sheep from time to time…. They also have 3 dogs and a cat, pigs and plenty of chickens. To read more about the site click here

Your team on the retreat
Your teachers on the retreat, Anja & Mel, have a combined experience of over 2 decades of teaching. The essence in both of our teaching is connectivity to self, nature, seasons and community. Our intention is to help you feel great, in both body and mind, and to create a space for you to feel supported and concentrate on your well-being. We both bring a sense of lightheartedness and humour into our teaching.
Mel’s teaching is inspired by many different styles of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Seasonal Yoga. She integrates both philosophy and anatomy into her teaching. She is also a Holistic Lifestyle and Nutrition coach, and loves helping clients to make positive changes in all elements of their life and well-being. Emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually and energetically.
Anja loves nothing more than being in nature and walking in the beautiful surroundings of her home valleys of Mid Wales. She offers a safe space for your yoga practice, and a nurturing guidance to support your health and wellbeing. Yoga is for every body and every soul – She offers a blend of styles with main focus on gentle explorative flow, qigong and relaxing yin yoga. Yin is my thing and what really lights me up! She is also a women’s somatic coach and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and brings these aspects into her teaching alongside her native Finnish roots.
On the paddleboarding retreat you will be supported on the board by our expert paddleboard guide and all around wonderful person, Emma Burrows who brings joy, ease and fun into her sessions. She really makes everyone feel comfortable, welcome and supported during her sessions!
