Terms and conditions for Be Hyggeling overnight retreats run by Anja and Adrienne
These T&Cs are written human to human, from us to you. In these terms and conditions ‘we, us or our’ refer to Anja Torikka and Adrienne Hanson. Our aim is to be reasonable and fair with these terms and conditions. We know things and circumstances change, but as you understand, we have to pay costs in advance. Our terms and conditions mirror the dates and costs that occur to us.
The basic principle is that you will receive a full refund including your deposit if the venue is not able to receive guests for example due to health and safety issue or if we are unable to run the retreat due to any reason for example illness. In these cases you can either choose to receive a full refund or a transfer to another date or retreat with us. However, there are things out of our control and to protect us, these terms and conditions are in place. If you decide to cancel your space on the retreat for any reason, the below cancellation policy applies.
As with any holiday, we thoroughly recommend getting a travel insurance. We do not offer advice on the type of insurance you would need. If you need to cancel your holiday, you can put a claim to the travel insurance. Please note, this is between you and the insurer and us or the venue have no say in the decision of your chosen insurer.
Your deposit of £150 is non refundable (except if we have to cancel the retreat). This is payable on booking.
A balance of £200 is payable 60 days before the start of your retreat. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the start of your retreat. You will receive a payment reminder via email 14 days before each due date.
Prices on the page are per person prices. Single occupancy means having the room for your sole use.
- Your deposit is non refundable
- If you cancel more than 60 days before the start of the retreat, you will only lose your deposit.
- If you cancel between 30 days and 59 days before the retreat, you will receive a 50% refund from the final balance minus the deposit. The deposit is always non refundable.
- If you cancel less than 30 days before, there will be no refunds.
- If an alternative date exists for a like to like retreat, you can transfer your space up to 30 days in advance.
- You can transfer your space to another person at no extra charge. You have to find the person who will take your space and notify us via email on email@example.com with their details
Activities during the retreat
We have written a rough schedule on the page and what to expect, this might change. If we are unable to offer an activity or a class an alternative will be offered. For example if one of us can’t attend the retreat due to ill health, the retreat will still go ahead, the person hosting the retreat will offer a class of her expertise. All practices are gentle and in line with the be hyggelig theme.
Your health and safety
In registering for this retreat you agree to accept all risks associated with the event and or service and agree that no liability will be attached to us for any personal injury, illness, delay, loss or damages to property, finances or health.
Pandemics and other special circumstances
Following the covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns in 2020 and 2021 this part of the T&Cs is to clarify our position in case of future events like these. If we are unable to run the retreat due to a national lockdown or national travel restrictions imposed by the government, you are entitled to a full refund. However, if it is your decision not to attend due to ill health or worry about the pandemic or situation, the above cancellation policy applies you need to claim any money back from your travel insurance.
